can you hear, the kettle drum is beating
bright lights and colours so shiny
golden things that we recalled
are reflected on the concrete walls
oh, kids, they love the posters
cold face, reddish nose and dark eyebrows
can you hear the themesong of the shiny trumpets?
it’s compelling the woods to the right form
and in the light of the carnival
mountebanks patrol
and with the cloak of menial
are forcing you to fold
and clowns dressed as vendors
are pitching their tone
break this scene, this wasn’t meant to be way too creepy
when will the curtains close?
such a satisfied crowd
with no doubts
take this mask, I don’t want to be part of this act
why won’t the curtains close?
oh, where will we be
when there’s no one to lead?

Are We Newborns?

tell me when the new moon is feeding hummingbirds
while we are talking
I am here to observe the state of your face
others are staring at us –
why can’t we stop?
tell me, tell me where the ants are hiding their infantry
time’s the way to talk to me
…
tell me if everything we’ll face in our case
comes out of the blue, out of the blue
beyond the times passing by
so how could I reach the purest infinity?
are we, are we newborns
when the sky calls, when the sky falls?
do we, do we need to hide
if the first glance is the last one?
are we, are we newborns
when the sky calls, when the sky falls?
do we, do we need to hide?

in the middle of the sleepless night I saw
a fantastic sight
where all the nightmares appeared
perfectly bright
but no one ever noticed that act
was sure worth writing down
why won't you
swim through your mind back and forth
to meet us and
Goldilocks among the bears
and monsters in the shrubberies
they’ll vanish when the sun goes up
white white snow
where the angels flow
in this silent snow fort
I lit your homemade torch
a tranquil nest so safe from peal
we ate our wintry happy meal
when will the grass show up?
apple thief times are past
‘cause we aren't able to run that fast
out of sight
stays on the mind of Goliath
we look down on the seashore
where everything seemed so fortunate
the kingdom has closed its gates
a tranquil nest so safe from draught
where the snails had left their shells
the wind was howling the missing tones
a tranquil nest so safe from draught
where everything seemed so fortunate
wind was the missing tones

shake hands with the wind
which calmly guides you home
on these silver waves
we are the kids of the rising storm
could you say my name loud?
’cause all I hear is talking silence
words in humble forms
won’t reach us – the whales, they are singing
looking for the distant land
where our ship is finally free
but all we found was a clumsy siren
who denied the way I feel
and the captain is playing hide and seek
oh, the void outside is daunting
the crew is crying under the bed sheets
where are we now, great captain?
and the captain is playing hide and seek
oh, the void outside is daunting
the crew is crying under the bed sheets
where are we now – nowhere?
